Baltic Sea Resort

Developing a touristic masterplan for the largest maritime resort in the entire Baltic Sea region was a major challenge. The objective was to re-interpret the resort architecture that is characteristic of the island of Rügen.

All building designs were worked out in detail so that the various legal planning approvals required by the state government of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern could be issued without delay. The "Baltic Sea Resort" also served as location for the bid to host the "Sailing Competition" of the Summer Olympic Games in 2012.

The resort excellently meets the requirements for a year-round tourist operation, notably through the wide range of indoor activities.

The most prestigious — national and international — hotel operators expressed concrete interest in the operation of hotel facilities of different types.
